“Their Core Speaks If You Listen and Watch”
Humans have the capacity to manipulate others in ways that many other mammals cannot accomplish.
If you choose to judge any and all conversations and relationships on one core (the part of something that is central to its existence or character) characteristic everything is disclosed.
The characteristic is integrity.
What is integrity? Integrity involves being truthful and sincere in one's words and actions.
It has been part of my life-journey, for years, that has proven to be a great measurement tool when deciding what people, in my life, I choose to trust on a daily basis.
What is another definition of integrity? It is “the quality of a person to uncompromisingly adhere to a particular set of ethical and moral principles, including honesty, responsibility, and accountability.”
When there is no integrity there can be no trust because there will be “holes” in the words and actions of someone without integrity. Like a boat, with holes in it, will sink. Actions speak louder than words.
Albert Einstein is said to have said: “Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters.”
If you choose to consider the true intentions of others, based on what they want you to do and think, they can uncover the core of their deepest desires as it relates to you.
In Marcus Aurelius’ book, “Meditations” he wrote “If it is not right do not do it; if it is not true do not say it.”
Every thought and action, you give yourself to, alters every moment in your life after that point-in-time.
When you “catch” people in a lie it identifies what is in the core of their being. It is deception, dishonesty and fear. The challenge can be, for some, when you believe the lies because you want what they are offering you even though you know it is wrong, dishonest and lacks integrity. If this happens, it discloses what is in your core as well.
An ancient proverb, written by an unknown author says, "Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. Proverbs 10:9."
What is in your core? What is in the core of those who you choose to have relationships with on a daily basis?
Look and listen to your core and others because, if you do not see and hear integrity in the core, you will suffer in ways that you might not be able to imagine.
I Believe in YOU!
